Here's a different kind of playlist: dance music. I'm not a dancer. I hated dance clubs because I'd stand around watching other people shake their bodies and I was just bad at it. But I went through a year or so where I listened to a lot of dance club music in New York. Some of the stuff was called "freestyle" and it was quite bad programmed music way before the age of ai and 21st century high tech. Though some of the voices were surely Broadway material unrecognized. Lots of sappy songs about heartbreak and winning the girl or guy. There's none of that on this playlist yet. 70s, 80s, 90s pop always had its share of dance tracks that stood out and brook out to the mainstream. Here's a just a few of my favorites. I don't have to dance to them to enjoy them. I'd rather sing them actually.
