DMB has an enormous number of live album releases. Too much to even choose favorites with. Each live album has several gems. I've tried to pick a gem or two from each live album release. Some of the tracks offer a radically different version of the studio song. Others are great representatives of the studio albums.
There's nothing like a live show by DMB. It's a stellar group of musicians led by the voice and songwriting genius of Dave Matthews. Carter Beauford is one of the most skilled drummers out there and the live shows really capture his magic. The same for Stefan Lessard, who is my favorite bass player out there. On the more recent tracks you'll have the experience of hearing the wonderful Tim Reynold and his addition of the electric guitar experience, which was missing from the early DMB days. Listening to these makes me want to get tickets for another DMB show. I've been to a few (probably every five years is my cycle) and I'd keep going back to these.
