This playlist is dedicated to the catalogue of Duff McKagan with only songs that feature him on vocals. From his most recent solo albums to his punk band Loaded to his supergroup with Steve Jones called Neurotic Outsiders to his GNR days. His recent live album touches on all his eras, even taking on a couple of GNR songs. His lighter 2019 album Tenderness almost goes country. His first punk-based solo album Believe in Me from 1993 has a few gems on it too. The one album missing here is his Beautiful Disease from 1999, which I have a burned copy of. The album was shelved due to a record company reshuffling, but it's some of his best work. A few tracks have been redone by Loaded, but they don't match the originals. His most recent solo album also does a revised version of "Hope" from that lost album, which features Slash once again, but it's still not where the original was.
McKagan was the GNR & Velvet Revolver bass player, but he has seldom played bass outside of those bands. In the solo work and Loaded he picks up a rhythm guitar. He's not a bad drummer too. He's a got a cool original voice, and he's been one of the two most productive of original GNR members, along with Izzy. The difference is Duff has been out there much more touring, whereas Izzy is not out there at all. Rock, punk, acoustic, Duff's got it all.
