Once upon a time, Mike Tramp from Denmark was a lead singer of an 80s "glam" band (though I hate that label). White Lion had moderate success with three albums and a strong of appealing singles that featured work of guitar wiz Vito Bratta from New York. I'm not sure Mike is sure of his stance on his old days, but he doesn't seem bothered by it having done remakes of those songs in recent years, but Tramp's newest solo work is in a totally different direction.
Mike Tramp's solo career features at least ten new original albums and a bunch of other collections and remakes of older songs. It is not glam metal at all. It's not even metal. Folk rock is the closest thing I can classify it as. The earliest albums definetely tried to be hard rock, but Tramp found his way through all that. His newest work in the last twenty years has elements of rock, folk, and even pop. It's just good singer-songwriter music.
"No Closure" about his difficulty with his father is probably a top 100 song of all time for me. Sure, I can relate to it personally, but it's just a great song, and I don't doubt that millions also relate to it.
