Here's a Canadian musician who I was into for a while in the 2000s. Sadly, much of his music reminds me of the Bush years: "Alert Status Red" "Advertising on Police Cars" "Black Helicopter." I'm starting to feel like like we're returning to this same state of broken government under a tyrant, and so maybe his music makes me feel a little better. He's a complicated guy with emotional outbursts on social media, but there's no doubt Matthew Good is an artist.
"Black Helicopter" might be my favorite track. Real 'effing poetry.
